Painted Tiles

A long time ago, (well, I don't know how long, but quite a while ago), I painted a tile.  I cut out a deer using the Cricut (sp?) and then using the outside outline, painted a deer.  I really liked the look and how it turned out.

Tonight, I decided I should make another one, but paint it myself.  Earlier today I had had the inspiration to on how to do it, but I didn't end up doing it how I was thinking.  I was thinking I was going to paint an apple, and then write a quote/song/bible verse/etc. on it, but I didn't end up doing that part.  I drew the apple, using the eraser of a pencil because I didn't have any paint brush:(  Next time I go to the dollar store, or some other cheap place, I plan on getting one:)  But anyways, I tried writing something using the eraser, but I just couldn't get it to work, so I just skipped that and did the apple.  The only color paints I had available were white, brown, and red (red from painting the kitchen), and so for the leaf on the apple, I used a mixture of brown and white, which actually turned into a light gray-brown sort of color.  I really like how it turned out, especially considering I used a eraser rather than a paint brush!  I can't wait to paint another tile once I get some paint brushes because I think it'll turn out way better than this.

And I can't wait for tomorrow because I get to CRAFT ALL DAY LONG . . . along with my mom, sisters, aunts, and cousins!  It's going to be so much fun.  We did one of these last year to make crafts for an auction for fundraising that my aunt was doing.  This time, it's just for fun:)  We decided it was so fun last time, that we wanted to do it again!

Today, we had no school again because of snow, and tomorrow we have no school, because of a waiver day, so we have a short week this week!  I know I am NOT going to want to go back to school on Thursday . . . no way!

Hope you're all being crafty wherever you are, too!  Have a wonderful day:)
