Today's Lovelies

So you know, I'm really pro.  I have this awesome camera, but yet so things go faster sometimes when I feel like posting a quick picture, I take a horrible quality and bad lighting cell phone picture.  But hey, at least I'm posting, right?!  I need to try to get better about taking good pictures though.

Anyways, today I finished the fox and diaper pouches, and then made these zipper pouches.  Love those birdies!  I decided I need to get some more of the gray bird fabric . . . can't get enough of it!

Oh yeah, open the gray chevron pouch with the red bird and inside is some lovely birdy fabric.  Makes me smile when I open it!

And since I've been wanting another zipper pouch for myself, and I love these, I decided I'm keeping the birdy and blue polka-dot one for myself.

Well, hope you all had a lovely, creative day!

Chevron Quilt

I had been wanting to make this pattern for a while so I decided to make it for my cousin Pamela for her graduation.  When I went to look at fabric, I didn't really find anything like what I was thinking and I just kept coming back to this fabric because I absolutely LOVED it!  I finally decided I was just going to get it and hopefully she would like it, because I wasn't sure if it "looked" like her.  I think it turned out absolutely gorgeous, anyways . . .  :)

The front

The back

While quilting it this way took forever and was kind of frustrating, it really adds to the quilt and makes it look lovely!

And a special thank you to my mom for quilting the border for me!  I've yet to do any quilting besides "straight" line quilting!

Morgan's Quilt - My First Quilt!

One day I decided I wanted to make a quilt using the whole blocks in this quilt, so I cut them into blocks and went from there.  I found the scrappy block look online and figured out what size each piece needed to be and then found fabrics we already had and made each block how I wanted it to look.

The front

 The back

I saw these letter blocks and decided to recreate my own for the back of this quilt to make it more fun:)

I ended up doing a scrappy binding, piecing them together as a rainbow.

Although it's definitely not perfect, being my first quilt and all, I still think it turned out pretty cute!

Diaper Pouch

I made another diaper pouch to match a diaper bag I had made . . . didn't take a picture of the diaper bag though!

The person who got the diaper bag had wanted neutrals and she likes chevron, so I had found this gray chevron print for the main part of the bag and the flowers print (which I used for the flap here) for the ruffle.  I used these leftovers and made this cute diaper pouch:)

Pajama Pant Christmas Gifts

An overly belated post!!  But I have decided I would like to start blogging regularly again . . we'll see how that goes!

I made these pajama pants for the kids for Christmas gifts.  Of course, for some reason, I had to wait until the last possible day to make them . . .but nevertheless, they were completed on time!

The girls got ruffles on the bottom of their pj pants:)

♥ Awww . . . what cuties! ♥

I didn't get an individual picture of Bronwyn with her fox print pants, but here are the rest of the kids.

Hunter had a license plate print on his pants.  When he opened his gift, he was jumping around and laughing and acting all weird . . . he never would tell us what was so funny about his pajama pants!!

Joe . . .oh a-hem, excuse me, I mean Walker! got a trucks and cars print.  I happened to have this t-shirt, so I made him a shirt to go with his pants:)

Morgan . . . I think this flower print is adorable!

Well, hope you all have a wonderful day!  I've been working on completing a couple quilts and am ready to pin them together and quilt them . . .eeek . . we'll see how that goes!!  Anyways, hope I'll be back posting more soon!

The Bow Clutch

I started out by making the black and green bow clutch.  And I LOVED how it turned out!!

At the same time I was in the process of getting a birthday present ready for someone and I thought it needed something else to go with it, so I decided to make one of these for her, so I made the brown & tan one above.  I think it turned out pretty cute, too:)

They're not perfect, but I still think they're pretty nice:)  Especially when I haven't done all that many zippers in my lifetime.

This is the inside of the black and green one . . more of the green stripes . . so fun!!

And the inside of the tan and brown one . . . a brown printed fabric.

I now want to try some more of these . . . maybe some different sizes or with a ruffle on the front or something.

The tutorial I used can be found here, if you want to make one yourself:)

And as always, have a wonderful day!!

A Christmas/Winter Ruffle Table Runner

My project I told you about that I'm finally sharing with you!!  I had it finished and took pictures, but then when I tried editing them before they wouldn't save; it worked now though so it's all good:)

I used a fun mitten print fabric; then I incorporated in the green and red to make it a little more Christmas-y.  I think we'll be able to use it all winter though!

Did you know it's kind of hard to gather fabric when you have 3 layers??  It is; I have experience now!!!  That's why it took longer than I thought it would to make it:)

I think it's cute though:)  It's sitting on the dining room table with some fun little candles in the center of it that we got from a bazaar!  I wish I would've made the table runner shorter, but it works good enough!

Hope you all had a wonderful day!  And have been having fun crafting & baking; getting ready for Christmas!  I need to get BUSY!!  :)

Burlap & Lace ~ School Bag

I'd been planning on making a new bag this style for school this year for quite a while . . . and I finally got around to making it a couple days before school started!  I'm glad I finally had gotten it finished!  I really like how it turned out and I'm enjoying using it.

(And, yeah, I'm finally getting around to blogging about it!!!)

Hope everyone has had a wonderful day!

Morgan Elaine & a Cute Lil' Ruffle Dress

So now it's the beginning of a new school year . . . at the end of last school year, I made this dress.  It was sitting there for a long time waiting for the last ruffle to get on it.  I finally got that done in August some time I think, but then I never got pictures done so I could blog about it.  At the end of August, I wanted to take pictures of Morgan at the neighbors house because she has so many lovely spots for taking photo's and I ended up having her wear this dress . . . and I am in LOVE with these photo's - they're all so darling!

One of my very favorite photo's - totally in LOVE!!

My neighbor picked some flower's for Morgan and let her have them . . .

She didn't like her spot here and was crawling down:)

She was getting crabby by this point, but here she was okay because she was just sitting there staring at the dog!

Lookin'at/smelling the pretty flower.

Sittin' in a cute lil' chair:)

Yeah, she was staring at the dog again!

A good shot of the dress:)

And another one I love . . . I like the backdrop with the cute old bench and her eyes again!!

This dress was made with the same base as this dress I made for Bronwyn, but then I added all the ruffles.
