And the Snow Came Tumbling Down . . .

YES - I am so so so excited that today is a no school day!!  I was so glad!!  We were all hoping for no school, if nothing at least 2 1/2 hours late, but our wish was granted!!  Yesterday, we had school off for MLK day.  I just wanted to share a few pictures with you all of the LOVELY & BEAUTIFUL snow:)  Hope everyone is having a great day!!

 

 

Best Friends

Beautiful Winter @ Centerville Grange

This was taken at Centerville Grange on Saturday at our annual Rhoades' Christmas Dinner.  It was beautiful and it was foggy; not all that much snow, but pretty nevertheless.  I just thought I'd share this photo.  More will probably be coming soon . . .:)

Snowing all day long . . .

When I left for school this morning around 6:30, it was raining.  Apparently, one hour later, around 7:30, it started snowing.  And it's been snowning ever since.  So yes, pretty much, it's been snowing all day long!!!!!

I just went and took a few pictures, but they didn't turn out too wonderful . . . . might be because it's snowing, or might be because I don't take very wonderful pictures:)

Boys & Girls Bibs ~ Trucks, Ruffles, & Flowers

I made/finished a couple of bibs today.  I had kind of already started the boy one, but I pretty much made it today.  The girl one I designed and finished today.  The boy one is a lot simpler than the girl one, but I think they're both pretty cute!

Mom made the actual bib of both of these a long time ago (I found them in the cupboard recently and decided I should do something to them to make 'em cute).  I want to get the supplies to make the bibs and then decorate some to sale/give as gifts, because I really like them and enjoy making them:)

This is the boy bib.  I put a little truck with button wheels at the bottom.  I just quickly drew a template for the truck.  It's a pretty simple bib, but I thought it was cute anyways:)  I think if I made more bibs, I might do some different colors because white might be soiled to easily:(

The other bib I made a girl one.  I did a ruffle and a couple flowers on it, using pink, brown, and white fabric.  This one isn't quite as plain as the boy one:)

On my 4-year old sister - as my model for this bib ~ haha, she's a little old to be wearing a bib, but that's okay:) (I was going to have my little bro, Walker, model the boy one, but he wouldn't stay still for me!)



I made the same type of flowers for these that I used on the Pink Poppy Headband.  I just stitched around the edges of the circles to keep it from fraying too much, since it'll be washed:)

This is what I woke up to see this morning - actually the first thing I saw after I got out of bed was the roof and snow falling, but so what:)  I think trees are SOOOO pretty when they're covered with snow.  It's snowing again now:)  Probably is other places around here, too.  We didn't have school today, and from what I hear, most people in a wide area range didn't have school!  We're finally getting actual snow here; the last time we got REAL SNOW, like lots of it, was before Thanksgiving!  Hope you all had a wonderful day off, if you did have it off!  And I hope you had a wonderful day even if you did have to go to school or work:)  Have an awesome evening!

Headbands, Headbands, YES Another Headband!

You guys are all thinking I'm a little obsessed with headbands yet???  Well, guess what?  You're right!  I myself even realize that!  It's ridiculous.  Dumb.  Pointless (kind of).  You can think of lots of words for this, those only being one of many!  That is my obsession right now.  I kind of wish I wasn't obsessed with making headbands (mind the word kind of there, because I DO like making them!).

So this is my little big obsession!  And now it's your turn to tell me what your obsession is!  Is it something big?  Little? Weird? What is it?  Tell me what you wish . . . . let me know!  Because I like to hear what all my blog readers have to say and learn a little more about all of you!

Now yes, what is with the post title?  I suppose what I wrote in the first part kind of explains it.  But guess what:

Headbands, Headbands, Not YES Another Headband  (or 2)!!!

So yes, I do have another couple of headbands to share with you . . . You guys are all getting bored of all my headbands most likely, but I do like to share my crafts on my blog:)  So you get to see more headbands!

The first one is the Pink Poppy Headband.  It's a simple, but darling headband!  I love it . . . and apparently my little sister Bronwyn does, too (explained in this post).

And the other one is another Ribbon & Ruffle Headband.  I think I might like this one a little bit better . . . . I like them both though!  This one is Burnt Orange & Cream - Ribbon & Ruffle Headband.  I really like all the design in the fabric; it makes the ruffle a lot more interesting.  I got the fabric from school (I'm in a Textiles & Apparel class) and I started making it there and finished it at home.

I was going to say "Guess what, It's snowing again, and it's pouring down hard!", but it stopped now:(  I kind of wanted it to keep snowing, and it might start again later, because I really do not want to go to school tomorrow!  Today we had 2 1/2 hour late start, and I really didn't want to go to school, but I did anyways:)

Photoshopped Photos . . . & guess what's happening outside right now?!?!

So these are just pictures I've photoshopped or picniked and decided to put them on - some are A LOT better than others!  But I decided to put them on:)  Some I took the pictures and some I just photoshopped.  Oh, and by the way, most of these were done quite a long time ago . . . I haven't done any recently really, except ones for the blog, which were just of stuff I crafted.  I really enjoy doing the scenery ones though  . . . and the word overlays:)  Unfortunately, our photoshop stopped working, so now all I have to use is Picnik.  I tried to use an online photoshop very similar to Photoshop, but it kept closing out on me, so I stopped using it:(

So this was pretty cool . . . it was a mirror on the top of the elevator and mom took a picture of all of us looking in it ... . although all of us aren't in the picture (uh, yeah, we were going swimming; we were on vacation and were spending the night at a cool motel!).

I have more, but these were some of the better ones.  I was going to put a different one on, too, (it had a song on it), but as I was looking at it I noticed that I had the wrong word in one spot:(  But I did thing it looked cool, anyways . . . . but oh well!  (For some reason, on that one, I wrote great instead of grace:(   )

So was this like totally boring and dumb . . . should I not do posts like this?

It's SNOWING right now!!!!!

I've said before that I didn't really want snow anymore and I didn't really care, but once it starts doing it, guess what?  I think it's pretty cool:)
