Fall "Canvas" + Free Printable!!

So a while back I made this "canvas" using this fall printable I made on My Memories Suites.  I have not loaded on any pictures on the computer until just now in like FOREVER, so that's why no blog posts lately:(  Need to get better at that!!  (By the way, did I tell you all I bought a digital camera last month some time - just a point-and-shoot, but better than none at all!!)

So I started with a shoebox cover.

And then I covered it with tissue paper.

Arranging everything . . . the printable & ribbon; inking and such . . .

The pretty details . . .

Love the bunting!

It's so cute & fun for fall decorations!!
And here's the printable just for all of you lovely blog readers . . . simply right click and save, open it in Microsoft Word, make it the size you want it, and print it on cardstock paper (white or cream - I used cream).  Either frame it, or do something like I did above.

Viola!!  Simple & cute new decoration - for free!!  (Or very cheap . . )

Also, I am planning to do a bazaar this year along with my Mom, so I'll be busy crafting to get ready for that.  I believe it's scheduled for the Saturday before Thanksgiving, so I'm going to have to get busy!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Memorial Day: The Party!!!

Our party was wonderful . . . . and the food was delicious . . . I'd say so, anyways:)
Everyone ready to start eating.

Our plates loaded with hot dogs, chips, jello cup (with a dallop of whip cream and a raspberry on top), and veggies.

Our Frosty Floats . . . delicious!

Our nummy dessert ~ I'll tell you how to make this and the frosty floats tomorrow.

Some of the extra's in case people needed more . . . set on top of a picnic basket . . .perfection!

You can find this printable here.

The apple tile you've seen before . . . I simply added "all american" to it with rub-ons and mod-podged over it . . . simple & cute:)

The table runner is from the bottom of an old white skirt . . . . simply the bottom layer torn off and two pieces cut the same length . . . I actually thought it turned out pretty cute!

There were two different sizes of trifles . . .

This decoration was made from some gauzy navy fabric and some candy hearts sprinkled around it, and the doily tag I made set on top.

The hot dog basket printable is found here.

It was a lovely party . . . and it was pretty cute and frugal, too!

Have a wondrous day:)

Memorial Day: Getting Ready to Party

Saturday I decided I was going to have a party today (Memorial Day).  We could only do stuff with our family, but still, it was fun.  But right now, we're going to talk about getting ready to party!!!

A few of the party supplies.

So I started to plan on Saturday what we were going to eat.

The menu conisted of the following:
Hotdogs
Jello Cup
Veggies & Dip
Chips
Frosty Float
Blueberry & Strawberry Trifle (dessert)

I made the tags for these cups . . . if you would like them, email me here.

The link to the printables for these chip (really french-fry) bags is here.  They are kind of small, but they worked perfect for me.

The link to these is also here.  I loved 'em:)

Some wicker plate things . . . I think you're really supposed to put an actual plate on top of it, but . . . and there was only 8, so the littler kids just got paper plates.

Come back tomorrow to see how the party turned out . . . all the decorations, the food, and everything!!!

Hope you all had a blessed Memorial Day!  Remember those who served/serve our country!

Ways to Use Scrapbooking Note Pages

These are actually for my scrapbook project for school, and I have to have 2 paragraphs on each one, so I was excited for these notecards - it's a great way to journal!

If you haven't seen the scrapbook note cards, go here to see them, or email me here if you want me to send you the file.

I used the "Facts of the Moment" note card for this page.

This page, the note card used is not one I created, but one from the scrapbook retreat.  It still gives you the idea about how you could use them, though.  This note card is where I got the "Giggle HaHa Laugh" idea for the notecard - I wanted it to be a side ways one like this, but I couldn't get it to work:(

Enjoy . . .

. . . and have an awesome day/weekend!!!

Printable Scrapbooking Note Pages

At the scrapbook retreat, there was some note card sort of things like these, and I really liked them, so I decided to design them myself.  And then I thought other people might want some to, so I decided to share them with all of you!

This is the sheet that I would email you a file for that you would then print off.

I printed this on 3 different colors of un-textured (so you can write on it) cardstock paper so far.

"Facts of the Moment"

"these are the facts"

"Laugh  HaHa  Giggle"

Once you print it out, then you cut each of the three sections apart and into the desired size.

Close-up of the 3 cut out pages (sorry about the bad pic - almost looks like they're all one piece of paper!)

So would you like some of these to use on your scrapbook pages?  All you have to do is email me here, and I will email you the Microsoft Word file for them.  They're so fun, and it gives you a new way to journal.

One of the pages we got at the scrapbook retreat was quite similar to the "Facts of the Moment" one, but it said Once Upon a Time, I think; someone actually just placed a 4x6 picture of them at their wedding on it.  So you could either use this for journaling or a background for a picture on your scrapbook page.  Get creative with it!

I don't have pictures of the pages I did using these yet, but when I do, I'll do a post of them, so you can see some of the ideas of what you could do with them.  If you get these, and scrapbook with them, be sure to show me what you do with them!!

Have an awesome day!

p.s. Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, we have late start, (besides Rachel) because 10th graders have to take the HSPE.  So I get to get up a little bit later in the morning . . . any time later than 6 a.m. is an improvement for me!  Yeah for late starts . . . sad though - next year I'll be the one going and getting up at normal time to go take the HSPE:(
