Morgan's Quilt - My First Quilt!
One day I decided I wanted to make a quilt using the whole blocks in this quilt, so I cut them into blocks and went from there. I found the scrappy block look online and figured out what size each piece needed to be and then found fabrics we already had and made each block how I wanted it to look.
The front
The back
I saw these letter blocks and decided to recreate my own for the back of this quilt to make it more fun:)
I ended up doing a scrappy binding, piecing them together as a rainbow.
Although it's definitely not perfect, being my first quilt and all, I still think it turned out pretty cute!

Kulla Girls Mini "Album"
I had these pictures I had printed and decided it would be fun to do an album of them. It went fairly quickly (we won't talk about staying up 'til early o'clock in the morning). As usual, I love some pages and kinda hate some others, but it's all good:)
Hope you all enjoyed and have a wonderful day!

Christmas Paper Bag Book
I started this book a long time ago . . . a year or two ago. One of the kids had ripped one of the pages I did apart so I was a bit discouraged and set it aside. Last week I decided I should finish it, so I did:)
There was actually some tags in the pages . . . (those ribbons sticking out!) but I forgot to take pictures of them:)
I think it turned out pretty cute and I'm glad I finished it!
Have a wonderful day!

Diaper Pouch
I made another diaper pouch to match a diaper bag I had made . . . didn't take a picture of the diaper bag though!
The person who got the diaper bag had wanted neutrals and she likes chevron, so I had found this gray chevron print for the main part of the bag and the flowers print (which I used for the flap here) for the ruffle. I used these leftovers and made this cute diaper pouch:)

Chocolate Cupcakes w/ Strawberry Cream Filling & Chocolate Ganache
Chocolate Cupcakes w/ Strawberry Cream Filling & Chocolate Ganache
1 batch chocolate cupcakes (I used Gluten Free Chocolate Cupcakes)
Strawberry Cream Filling
1 pint whipping cream
powdered sugar
vanilla
1 lb. strawberries*
Chocolate Ganache
3/4 cream
2 tablespoons butter, melted
8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips**
sugar
*You can use more strawberries . . . this is just how much I had, but I think more would make it even better!
**To make the ganache not so strong/a bit sweeter, you can substitute some of the semi-sweet chocolate chips for white chocolate chips.
With your chocolate cupcakes cooled off, whip up the cream. Once desired thickness, add desired amount of powdered sugar and vanilla. Mash up the strawberries (leave them somewhat chunky). Mix the strawberries with a bit of sugar. Fold the mashed strawberries into the whipped cream. Fill the cupcakes with the strawberry cream filling.*
To make the chocolate gnache, place the chocolate chips in a bowl. Pour melted butter over it. Place cream in a bowl and microwave for a bout 2 minutes - it needs to be at a simmer. Immediately pour over chocolate and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit for about 3 minutes and then stir until smooth. Spoon over each cupcake to cover the top.
Refrigerate cupcakes.
*You can fill your cupcake however you choose. For these I cut a circle in the top of the cupcake and took the piece of cupcake it. I filled it with the strawberry cream and then placed it back on top.
Also, you will probably have about half of the strawberry cream filling leftover, but it's delicious to put some more of it over the top of your cupcake!
Have a wonderful day! Eat some yummy cupcakes!

Pajama Pant Christmas Gifts
An overly belated post!! But I have decided I would like to start blogging regularly again . . we'll see how that goes!
I made these pajama pants for the kids for Christmas gifts. Of course, for some reason, I had to wait until the last possible day to make them . . .but nevertheless, they were completed on time!
The girls got ruffles on the bottom of their pj pants:)
♥ Awww . . . what cuties! ♥
I didn't get an individual picture of Bronwyn with her fox print pants, but here are the rest of the kids.
Hunter had a license plate print on his pants. When he opened his gift, he was jumping around and laughing and acting all weird . . . he never would tell us what was so funny about his pajama pants!!
Joe . . .oh a-hem, excuse me, I mean Walker! got a trucks and cars print. I happened to have this t-shirt, so I made him a shirt to go with his pants:)
Morgan . . . I think this flower print is adorable!
Well, hope you all have a wonderful day! I've been working on completing a couple quilts and am ready to pin them together and quilt them . . .eeek . . we'll see how that goes!! Anyways, hope I'll be back posting more soon!
